M U L T I M E D I A
HELLO EVERYONE,
my name is Ryan Staine.

This is my life's work, hope you enjoy it 😇
Ifound this passion of mine back in 2017, after leaving all my old friends behind in the suburbs to attend a brand-new school for only 1 year. It took no time at all to realize that this skill not only came easily to me, but every aspect of the content creation process brings my perspective of life to the world & speaks to the perfectionist in me. Excellence runs through my veins. It's helped me to make new friends, get acquainted with community at my dream school, and even gained entrepreneurial skills. I regret nothing.
Starting out, I had no clue what I was doing nor getting myself into--in the best way (of course). It was truly a refreshing experience to actually ENJOY what I was learning for a change. I had a very hands-on approach, teaching myself Adobe programs & constantly refining my gift. I loved it so much that after 1 semester, I was teaching other students how to improve. At the beginning of the semester, I was assigned to a group of 3 classmates to create the daily school news broadcasts, and we eventually became In the Mix Productions. I began as the anchor b/c I love entertaining people & making them smile. I soon took over creating all the content for my team--but I didn't mind it at all. I was obsessed with how all the little pieces (a-roll, b-roll, audio, etc.) came together to create a bigger picture.

Photography was another undiscovered passion, however I didn't pursue it professionally until college. The simple fact that just one aspect of a photo can make you feel certain emotions, or bring memories back to life all over again. Knowing how hard it is to get the perfect shot, angle, or lighting makes it all that much more rewarding.
I owe this passion to my broadcast production instructor from Niles North, Mr. Ivan Silverberg. I enjoy creating content so much more b/c of his passion for his art & sharing that love with other young people. It's my dream to start a talent agency. Everyone needs to have at least one person in life who genuinely believe in themselves & others like he does. He is the standard for how every teacher should be. I value him SO MUCH for ALWAYS pushing me to be my very best at all times. He's more than just a teacher, he's a real friend. I still keep up with him after all these years.

September 2017, I was attending Columbia College Chicago with a concentration in Cinema Arts & Television Sciences (fancy term for film & TV), minor in vocal performance. I took a gospel choir class all 4 semesters.

My professor came to class every week embodying this infectious energy & genuine joy, which would get me through my tiring week(s). My instructor, Walter Owens, has such a passion for what he does & understood the weight of the message in the music we'd sing. Let's not forget his very bubbly personality. He is literally THEE gospel choir experience--his faith was apparent from day one. Hearing how good we sounded together under his leadership & seeing people from all walks of life worshiping God & FEEL HIS PRESENCE was literally the most amazing thing I'd ever experienced. It's such a powerful & genuine genre of music, it truly blesses my soul. I attended until 2019 until I went the community college route.

When 2020 hit, it threw my plans off in more ways than one, and even affected my schooling. It messed with my mental, spiritual & physical health. God is bigger than it all! He ordered my steps to get me to where I am & working it all together for my good! These past 8 years of hard work, tears, and lonely nights have taught me valuable lessons about life, networking, and business. In the midst of it all, I learned to deepen my faith & to trust God's timing. Since high school, I’ve progressed from making news broadcasts to collaborating with incredible clients like Mariah Carey, ABC7, and ReturnRunners! I plan to attend grad school at Columbia Chicago following my undergrad degree, studying music business b/c I want to release original music eventually. I also plan to be certified in the tech field by the end of next year, traveling & exploring the parts of the world I've been too scared to visit.

I rebranded my podcast as well. What started as a fun project to complete a credit for my radio class during my freshman year, transformed into a platform where I can connect with people on a deeper level & help them find the Jesus I serve with every aspect of my life, even those that are not so pretty. It’s all about having honest conversations & how it relates to God’s plan for our lives. I want to be a voice for future generations, that is the goal. I plan to use my gifts & talents to expand my media freelancing company, Staine Multimedia, into a full on creative agency. I will fulfill my dream of me being my own boss after working for others for 10 years, and I’m so excited about the road my life is taking! Since I was in 5th grade, I’ve known what I wanted to do, and the fact that not much has changed reassures me I’m on the right path. I’m grateful for each day, for the gifts God has given me, and for all the amazing things to come!
